The Church of Jesus Christ donates mammogram equipment to bless the women of Belize

In a beautiful act of Christ-like love, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has donated essential mammogram equipment to Western Regional Hospital, Belmopan, Belize, giving hope to countless women. This equipment will provide early detection for breast cancer, something many Belizean women previously lacked access to.

The donation reflects the Savior’s teachings to care for one another, especially those in need, said Elder Ryan K. Olsen, member of the Central America Area Presidency, emphasized that this act of service embodies Christ’s love and desire for all of God’s children to live healthy, happy lives.

“This is about following Jesus Christ’s example. He healed the sick and gave comfort to the weary, and we seek to do the same for the women of Belize,” said Elder Olsen.

With this donation, the hospital can now offer screenings that can save lives, said the Western Regional Hospital director, and added, "The Ministry of Health and Wellness is committed to providing affordable, quality healthcare to Belizean women, providing hope and security to them and their families".

This donation stands as a reminder of Christ’s boundless love, offering support, strength, and hope to all Belizeans.
