Friday, November 25, 2022, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated materials and labor to help finish three school in the Orange Walk and Cayo Districts of Belize. The Humanitarian Experience for Youth organization originally built the three schools but needed help putting in windows, doors and painting the buildings.

Members of the Church in Belize volunteered to paint the three schools. The local communities also raised funds and completed the electrical and other work. The donation included furnishing the classrooms with a total of 180 desks and 12 white boards. There are 338 students who will now benefit from the completion of the three schools.
President Leovany Lopez, 1st Counselor in the El Salvador, San Salvador West Mission represented the Church and spoke at the donation ceremony.
The Ministry of Education representative and Chief Education Officer, Cayo District, Jahmor Lopez gave thanks to the church for the support to the staff, the students and community.
