On May 10, Mother's Day is celebrated in Belize. A special day to celebrate with gratitude and love. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recognizes and values the arduous work that a mother does for her children, since the formation in her womb and for life.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, said: “I wish to praise those motherly hands that have rocked the infant’s cradle and, through the righteousness taught to their children there, are at the very center of the Lord’s purposes for us in mortality.”
The Church honors mothers wherever they are, they are daughters of God with a sacred responsibility. Once a year is not enough to express the love that we have for our mothers, so every day we must express gratitude to the person who gave us life.
“No love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child." Elder Holland
